Google PageRank, also called Google PR, which is Google’s criteria for measuring the importance of web pages, is a hot debate among the online fraternity. Well, any online business owner may tend to get into every intricacy of his online campaign  and dig out favorable and unfavorable sides to it. Now, the moment he notices Google PR toolbar and the page ranking, he is likely to get hold of his SEO marketer and asks questions concerning low rankings. We all know Google reigns supremely and so getting worried on what Google thinks about your page is ok, but then weighing your marketing status entirely on that basis is enough to mislead you.

Google PR and SEO campaignFirst, it’s important that you understand what are Google’s parameters for marking importance of your page. It’s essentially a link analysis algorithm totaling how many times has a given page been backlinked and is updated more or less every three months considering only the incoming links for that much period. But, if that was all, anyone could have gone generating more and more backlinks and would have got the highest page rank…then where the trickiness is? Google has fixed the criterion of what it feels as important and unimportant incoming links to a page. Thus, if you think to enter the mess of buying links, not only that you are adopting unethical means but you may not get what you wanted from it as you essentially needed quality links related to specific keywords. PageRank is in no way a pointer of your content quality, site age, and overall backlinks, which are essentially an SEO campaign’s ingredients.

If you think your SEO is weak just because your PR is low and make up your mind to chase it around, your SEO campaign may get screwed up. Search engine optimization is all about search engine rankings and higher traffics. The process of course involves link building to serve the purpose, but don’t forget that the marketing objective of gaining traffic needs the focus on where your specific keywords put you up in the Google’s search results and how much visitors your site gets by it. How would you entirely link the flow of visitors to your page with just two or three months of backlink proportion, and that too of a qualitative nature, determining a rank? I mean incoming link magnitude as indicated by Google PR, is relatively very minimally proportioning with a visitor index. In simple words, a higher page rank does not directly mean high search engine rankings. It’s just a bit of it. It’s definitely not worth channelizing your SEO efforts into page ranking at the expense of majorly impacting search engine ranking building efforts such as those of joining directories, blog and article postings, forum participations, or joining online communities.

With this, we reach a bottom line that it’s better just to observe PageRank. If it’s higher, credit it to the vigorous SEO campaign as good SEO performance can definitely bring that about. But if not so, expedite the SEO process with its core components.

The business opting for internet marketing would typically face this question: organic SEO or PPC? In fact, why a choice? Sometimes the confusion is whether to combine the two, and if so, then in what ratio? In order to come to a decision, one needs to have a proper understanding of the marketing need and the stage at which the decision is to be implemented.

What works best for you can be figured out by analyzing and comparing the two disciplines and then focusing on the approach you want to have for your targeted goals.

Let’s quickly review the brighter and darker sides of SEO and PPC both.

Organic SEO will fetch you ROI (return of investment) for a longer period. This is because you are spending for your advertising campaign once and you get higher listings with the work done across the campaign even after it is over. Moreover, in organic SEO, the longevity of back links work for you with a certain level of optimization achieved even if your site has not been worked upon since long. Therefore, you may still have a higher rank even if no work is done for days together. BUT THEN, the results take a longer time to come, probably many months, and the result is not guaranteed. Secondly, the initial budget for an SEO campaign can be more massive than that of a PPC campaign.

PPC, on the other hand, will generate traffic on your site in no time. You may want to put this kind of marketing to use if you want results in relatively short term. This can also help a down sloping business where instant rush can turn the tide. HOWEVER, the results plummet as soon as the campaign is over. Also, you need to work on conversion optimization for improving ROI as you will be paying for every single click.

Big businesses with high advertising budgets can run both the campaigns simultaneously and successfully. For a small business, first it would be imperative to research whether their website fulfills what it takes to initiate keyword optimization for SEO and later on managing it. Lack of unique or uncommon keywords relevant to your business will take more efforts and time by an SEO campaign and hence will keep you waiting for the results. You may instead choose a PPC campaign with your initial budget so that at least you don’t have to wait to get attention, and gradually when there’s enough of exposure that you’ve got through your sponsored link, you may think of splitting your budget to include an organic SEO campaign parallel to it. At no point, you should stop observing your PPC investment and profit ratio. Once SEO starts yielding good results for you, you may choose to put a check on your PPC budget diverting it to your SEO as this is where your long-term benefit lies. How and when you change your budget ratio, however, should depend on the performance of these two interwoven strategies both in their individual role towards achieving the goal and in relation to each other.

Telemarketing is an interesting job but at the same time it can be challenging. It becomes challenging when you face rejection constantly. This makes the job tedious and unenjoyable.

For telemarketing, one needs to have a skill set. The basic skill one needs is to have good and effective communication skills. Good communication doesn’t mean the use of fancy words and statements.

Then what does it mean? It means to communicate effectively in simple language but also to be upto the point and accurate.  Let me give you a few points that will help you to be a good telemarketer or a sales person.

  • Preparation is the initial step towards telemarketing. A telemarketer needs to know what he is marketing to the core. This will build your confidence up to a certain level. It’s necessary to understand the industry to which the product belongs. This is the 1st step towards being a successful sales person or telemarketer.
  • Confidence is very important in any job. A prospective client will always like to talk to a person who is a confident speaker. This generates positive vibrations in the conversation. This will also help in making a successful and healthy conversation. A jittery start will ruin the conversation. As they say “First impression is the best impression”. This will help you build a rapport with your prospective client. You are the one who will represent your company to a prospect and the impression you create will determine your success with your prospective client.
  • Positive mental attitude is very necessary for every job. Marketing is such a field which requires patience and positive attitude because you can face constant rejection and ire. The key is not to take these remarks personally. Forget these negative remarks, take a deep breath and continue. Take up every prospect with a positive attitude because you never know when you will get a sale. It can be at the beginning of your work shift or towards the end. No one knows.
  • For a telemarketer effective communication plays a vital role in the conversation. Many telemarketers speak fast and end up sounding like a recorded voice message. It is important to speak at a moderate pace and make it an effective two way communication. Also let your client speak and always speak at par with him. If you are not at par with your client, he/she will dominate the call. Be aggressive and lively while talking. Dont be too repetitive. Long pauses in a call i.e. “dead air” or a lot of “umm’s“ and “aah” make the conversation less effective.
  • Every telemarketer or sales person requires the power to convince their prospect. Try to give the pros of your product and make them realize that there is no harm in trying out your product. Many telemarketers in this process end up giving false information. Never give out any false information to your prospect. Stay true and straight and that will help you to reap the benefits.

All these points will help you create a lasting impression on your prospect and will also boost the image of your company. This will not only put you on the road to success towards becoming a successful telemarketer or sales person but also a good communicator.

It's  very important for one to have well designed website as it can take your business globally. Ensure that the colors and graphics of the template of your preference fit with your content.

Select a template that speaks of your webpage in details. For example, if you are doing ice cream business, then select a very graphical and light background by all entails. But, if you are more on the serious side and/or your website is something more personal, then you may want to opt out for something less loud and will like to go for earth color backgrounds instead.

When designing your website, layers can be fairly useful. Also, you can stop tormenting about designing your individual website. You can make use of what is supplied for you by the merchant, and run with it. By shunning this apprehension and designing your website with your user's goals will create a more positive user experience.

Design websites in such a way that it can be accessed in any browser. By working in this way, no issue what browser the viewer uses, they can still visit it without any problems or without installing a compatible browser. Additionally, take a look in to the issues that can be met when a webpage is loaded into a meticulous browser. Fix these errors so that your website will be browser independent.

Make your website public. Get the word out of the closet. That’s what you require to do after you have designed your website. Use an FTP up loader. You will require a web host - a space for your website to reside, to store your work on the Internet. The best way is to have a default or style page as you design your own website. This will manage your page layouts on the internet. Set downloadable templates margin at around 950 pixels because on new computers, it will be placed on the screen, neatly. On lower resolution computers, your website may be of little wider than the usual screen but that is alright. The website you design will have an advertisement that will benefit your business for long run.
